You love to dine out but no one seems to be available. You want to try a new restaurant. You are traveling for business. You lost your person.
Any number of reasons can cause you to do dinner alone. It tends to be one of those things one either loves or hates.
I dine alone on business trips but I also do when I’m home as I have come to enjoy it. Each experience is a little different and variety is a good thing.
- 5 Dinner Alone Go-Tos:
- Sit at the bar, even if you are not drinking
- Sit near a TV
- Take a book
- Sit near a window
- Use your tech (phone, tablet, laptop, etc)
Most of these are self explanatory and you’ll be surprised how you may enjoy some time alone. It can be time to think, reflect or resolve without additional input.
You may enjoy your food more as you will be able to focus and savor what you ordered.
Tech is my last resort because I am on it and involved with it all day long so the break from it is nice.
Whatever your reason for going solo, make a point to enjoy the experience. Cheers!
